Brenmiller Energy Ltd. has recently secured a generous grant of $450,000 from the Israel Innovation Authority. This funding will be utilized for their groundbreaking thermal energy storage project at Wolfson Hospital in Holon, Israel. With the support of this grant, along with the government’s incentives for renewable energy initiatives, specifically Brenmiller’s bGen™ ZERO system for Wolfson Hospital, the project’s financial prospects are expected to improve significantly. Moreover, this funding will accelerate the adoption of this innovative solution and open doors for extensive decarbonization opportunities.

Recognizing the immense potential of Brenmiller’s TES system, the Israel Ministry of Finance has approved a substantial budget of $3.7 million for the development and operation of the bGen™ ZERO system at Wolfson Hospital. This budget will span over a period of seven years, allowing Brenmiller to fully optimize and refine the system’s capabilities. According to the ministry’s estimates, the implementation of Brenmiller’s TES system has the potential to save Wolfson Hospital up to $1.3 million annually, while also reducing its carbon footprint by an impressive 3,900 tons per year.

The current funding and incentives landscape, both domestically and internationally, is proving to be highly favorable for clean energy projects. Proposed tax incentives in the United States, as well as the availability of various European Union funds and plans, are creating an environment where clean energy initiatives can yield more attractive returns. Given Brenmiller’s established expertise in project financing, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on this momentum and assist clients in optimizing their returns.

As we progress further into 2024, Brenmiller Energy Ltd. continues to lead the way in sustainable energy solutions, leveraging their financial acumen and technological prowess to drive the clean energy revolution forward.
