Shares of Customers Bancorp are demonstrating remarkable strength in the market, propelled by a well-received capital management initiative and a wave of upward revisions to price targets from prominent financial research firms. The equity has delivered an impressive 38.62% return since the start of the year, highlighting its standout performance.

Robust Quarterly Earnings Underpin Market Optimism

The foundation for the current positive sentiment is built on solid financial results. For the third quarter of 2025, Customers Bancorp reported a net income of $73.7 million, translating to $2.20 per diluted share.

Key performance indicators from the quarter reveal a healthy financial position:
* A net interest margin that expanded to 3.46%, marking an increase of 19 basis points.
* Total loans grew significantly by 18.1% to reach $16.3 billion.
* The company maintained a strong CET1 capital ratio of 13.0%.
* Total revenue for the period was $206.82 million.

Trading near $67.26 with a market capitalization of $2.29 billion, the stock’s technical picture also supports the bullish trend. The 50-day moving average of $67.03 sits comfortably above the 200-day average of $60.11, a pattern often interpreted as a positive long-term signal.

Capital Structure Enhancement Through Preferred Stock Redemption

A key driver of the recent enthusiasm is the bank’s announcement that it will fully redeem its Series F Preferred Stock. This strategic decision to optimize its capital structure and boost long-term profitability involves repaying 3.4 million shares, with a total value of $85 million, on December 15, 2025. The redemption will be executed at $25 per preferred share.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Customers?

The specific terms of the redemption are as follows:
* The total cash outlay for the redemption will be $85 million.
* Each Series F preferred share will be redeemed at its stipulated price of $25.
* A final dividend payment of $0.57 per share will be distributed on December 15.

This capital action follows a successful earlier fundraising round, reinforcing management’s commitment to enhancing shareholder value.

Widespread Analyst Upgrades Signal Continued Upside

The response from the analyst community has been overwhelmingly positive, adding further fuel to the stock’s rally. The Hovde Group raised its price objective to $75 from $70, maintaining a “Market Perform” rating. This new target suggests a potential 11.48% increase from the most recent closing price.

This upgrade is part of a broader consensus of bullish outlooks from other major firms:
* Stephens increased its target to $68 from $62.
* B. Riley lifted its price target to $90 from $86, reiterating a “Buy” recommendation.
* Raymond James boosted its target to $85 from $80, accompanied by a “Strong Buy” rating.
* TD Cowen has set a price target of $95.
* DA Davidson’s target stands at $88.

This unified optimistic stance from market experts points to a strong belief in the stock’s potential for further appreciation.
