Alphabet Inc. has launched its latest strategic move in the competitive artificial intelligence arena with the introduction of Gemini 3 Flash. This new model is designed for greater speed and efficiency, positioning the company to meet escalating demand for scalable AI solutions. Concurrently, the Google parent company is securing significant strategic contracts and accelerating the expansion of its cloud infrastructure.

Financial Performance Provides Solid Foundation

The company’s recent quarterly report, released in October, underscores the strength of its core operations. Alphabet surpassed the $100 billion mark in quarterly revenue for the first time. Its Google Cloud segment saw revenue jump 34% to $15.2 billion, while the search business grew 15% to $56.6 billion. Net profit climbed 33% to $35 billion.

Earnings per share came in at $2.87, significantly exceeding the consensus estimate of $2.26. The operating margin reached 30.5%, or 33.9% when adjusted for an EU penalty. Furthermore, Alphabet has raised its investment budget for 2025 to between $91 and $93 billion, a clear indicator of its commitment to aggressively building out AI infrastructure.

Strategic Contracts and Partnerships Signal Market Confidence

A series of high-profile agreements highlights Alphabet’s targeted positioning within the booming AI sector. A contract with the Pentagon validates Gemini’s suitability for critical enterprise-level applications. In a landmark move, the company has also entered a partnership with NextEra Energy to develop multi-gigawatt data centers across the United States, directly addressing the massive energy requirements of advanced AI infrastructure.

Demand in the corporate sector is also rising. The real estate services firm Colliers has selected Google Cloud as the primary platform for its digital transformation, implementing automation tools powered by the Gemini models.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Alphabet?

Analyst Sentiment Turns Increasingly Bullish

Market researchers have responded positively to these developments. Pivotal Research raised its price target on Alphabet shares from $350 to $400, citing approximately 25% upside potential. The firm’s rationale points to multi-year growth prospects for Google Cloud and an expanding free cash flow trajectory driven by the Gemini rollout.

The consensus analyst recommendation currently stands at “Moderate Buy.” The average price target is $315.90, with JP Morgan being the most optimistic at $385. Wedbush recently increased its target to $350, and BMO Capital Markets values the stock at $342.

Valuation and Market Context

With a forward price-to-earnings ratio in the range of 29 to 30, Alphabet is considered one of the more attractively valued major technology stocks. The company’s market capitalization is approximately $3.7 trillion, placing it third globally behind Nvidia and Apple.

Industry projections suggest substantial tailwinds for Alphabet’s core segments. The global market for AI data centers is forecast to grow from around $236 billion in 2025 to $933 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of 31.6%. Alphabet’s integrated cloud and AI platform appears well-positioned to capture a significant share of this expanding market.
