Archer Aviation’s stock has found support following the announcement of a key technological partnership. The electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) developer revealed at CES 2026 that it will integrate NVIDIA’s artificial intelligence platform directly into its Midnight air taxi. This move is designed to enhance real-time onboard data processing and represents a significant step toward the future goal of autonomous flight operations.

The company’s shares stabilized near $8.93 after a week of notable volatility that saw an intraweek surge exceeding 6%. Investor sentiment appears buoyed by the specific integration of NVIDIA’s IGX Thor platform, which is capable of simultaneously processing inputs from radar, camera, and navigation systems.

Financial Backing and Analyst Perspectives

Archer’s financial position and market metrics provide context for its ambitious plans. The company holds a market capitalization of approximately $6.5 billion and maintains a strong liquidity position with over $1.6 billion in cash and short-term investments. Its order book, indicative in nature, stands at more than $6 billion, supported by agreements with partners like United Airlines.

Market experts have issued updated assessments. Needham & Company reaffirmed a “Buy” recommendation with a price target of $10.00. JPMorgan Chase & Co. maintains a “Neutral” stance, citing a target price of $8.00. A short interest figure of 15.03% of the free float indicates a degree of speculative pressure on the stock. Year-to-date in 2026, the equity has advanced roughly 18%, accompanied by above-average trading volume, while its high beta of 3.10 reflects the inherent volatility within the sector. Consensus analyst estimates project 2026 revenue near $62 million, expected to be generated primarily from initial international operations.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Archer Aviation?

Building the Ecosystem: Infrastructure and Global Progress

Beyond technology, Archer is actively constructing its operational foundation. In a strategic infrastructure play, the company completed the acquisition of the Hawthorne Airport in Los Angeles for $126 million. This facility is slated to become a central hub for its planned air taxi network in Southern California and will also serve as a testing ground for the new AI-enhanced flight systems.

International milestones are progressing in parallel. The company has delivered an aircraft to Abu Dhabi and conducted test flights with Abu Dhabi Aviation. These developments have already resulted in initial seven-figure payments, marking Archer’s transition toward generating its first revenues. The path to commercial service hinges on achieving the final Stage 4 certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Initial passenger services could launch as early as 2026 in the United Arab Emirates, supported by the construction of ten vertiports.

On the manufacturing front, the partnership with Stellantis remains central to Archer’s strategy. The first six Midnight aircraft are currently in assembly in Georgia, with the facility planning for an annual production capacity of 650 units once fully operational.
