Shares of Array Technologies, a leading provider of solar tracking systems, surged to a new 52-week high this Friday. The company’s equity is riding a wave of investor confidence fueled by robust financial performance, strategic executive appointments, and surging industry-wide demand. A significant, though perhaps unexpected, catalyst is the enormous power requirements of artificial intelligence data centers, which are creating new tailwinds for the solar energy sector.

Financial Performance and Market Sentiment

The recent share price appreciation follows a period of substantial gains. Over the past week, the stock advanced by 11.21%, bringing its six-month rally to approximately 76%. This momentum is grounded in concrete financial results. For the third quarter of 2025, Array Technologies reported a 70% year-over-year revenue increase to $393.5 million.

Operational strength was equally evident. Adjusted EBITDA grew by 55% to $72.2 million for the quarter, and earnings per share (EPS) came in at $0.30, surpassing market expectations. The company also enters its next phase with a substantial backlog; the volume of executed contracts and awarded orders stood at $1.9 billion as of September 30, 2025.

Analyst perspectives have been mixed but attentive. January saw several upgrades to “Buy” ratings, reflecting optimism about the company’s trajectory. However, this was countered by at least one downgrade to “Neutral,” primarily citing valuation concerns after the stock’s significant run-up.

AI Data Centers Fuel Industrial Solar Demand

A key driver behind the sector’s optimism is the escalating energy demand from large-scale technology companies. To power the computational intensity of artificial intelligence operations, these firms are aggressively expanding their renewable energy portfolios, directly benefiting providers of industrial-scale solar solutions.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Array Technologies?

Array Technologies is strategically positioned to capitalize on this trend with its fully US-manufactured product line. This domestic production allows its customers to qualify for tax incentives under the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The question for some observers is whether this US-centric supply chain will be sufficient to mitigate potential competitive pressures expected to intensify by 2026.

While institutions like UBS, TD Cowen, and Seaport Global have recently affirmed or issued buy recommendations, analysts at Baird struck a note of caution. They pointed to the stock’s powerful rally in recent months and potential margin risks from heightened competition.

Leadership Reshuffle and Forward Outlook

Beyond market dynamics, internal strategic moves have bolstered investor confidence. In early January, the company announced key promotions, appointing Darin Green as Global Chief Revenue Officer and Nick Strevel as Chief Product Officer. These leadership changes are designed to accelerate global expansion and product innovation.

Looking ahead, the investment community is setting its sights on the next major milestone. Array Technologies is scheduled to release its fourth-quarter 2025 results in late February 2026, with market watchers anticipating the report specifically between February 26 and March 3. This upcoming disclosure will be scrutinized for evidence that the company is translating its formidable $1.9 billion backlog into results that meet the high expectations for the current fiscal year.
