First Resource Bancorp, the holding company for First Resource Bank, has reached a significant corporate milestone, announcing its inaugural quarterly cash dividend. This move, coming after two decades of operation, marks a strategic shift towards direct capital returns and underscores the institution’s financial maturation.

The company’s board of directors recently approved a payout of $0.02 per common share. Shareholders of record as of March 6, 2026, will receive the distribution on March 20, 2026. According to CEO Lauren C. Ranalli, the decision reflects the bank’s operational stability and robust balance sheet strength.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying First Resource Bank?

Record Financial Performance Paves the Way

The launch of this dividend policy follows a period of exceptional financial results. Last month, the bank reported its 2025 annual figures, revealing a 54 percent surge in net income. This profitability was driven by substantial business growth: total loans increased by 13 percent, while deposits saw an even more pronounced rise of 31 percent year-over-year. These strong gains provided the capital foundation necessary to initiate a shareholder reward program.

For investors, this announcement signals First Resource Bancorp’s evolution into a new phase, one that balances growth with direct returns. The sustainability of this dividend policy will be closely tied to the ongoing performance of its core lending and deposit-gathering activities. The market will gain further insight into the company’s operational momentum with the release of its next quarterly report, anticipated around April 22, 2026.
