Terawulf Inc. has experienced a dramatic rally, with its stock price advancing more than 80% over the past month. This significant upward momentum is primarily fueled by the company’s strategic pivot into artificial intelligence infrastructure and the announcement of several multi-billion dollar agreements.

Strong Quarterly Performance

The company’s second-quarter 2025 results revealed substantial operational progress. Revenue climbed 33.9% year-over-year to reach $47.6 million. While Terawulf reported a net loss of $18.37 million, or $0.05 per share, this performance exceeded analyst expectations of a $0.06 per-share loss.

In its Bitcoin mining operations, the company produced 485 BTC during the quarter. This figure represents a decrease compared to the same period last year, attributed primarily to the Bitcoin halving event and the divestiture of its Nautilus facility. Despite this reduction in output, Terawulf’s operational hash rate expanded significantly to 12.2 EH/s. The company also reported that its average power cost per Bitcoin mined doubled to $45,555.

Key Q2 2025 Financial and Operational Metrics:
* Q2 Revenue: $47.6 million (+33.9% year-over-year)
* Q2 EPS: -$0.05 (beat expectations of -$0.06)
* Mined Bitcoin: 485 BTC
* Operational Hash Rate: 12.2 EH/s
* Fluidstack Agreement Value: $6.7 billion (potential to reach $16 billion)
* Google Guarantee: $3.2 billion
* Google Equity Position: Approximately 8% via warrants

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Terawulf?

Transformative Partnership with Fluidstack Backed by Google

A pivotal development for Terawulf involves a multi-year arrangement with AI cloud platform Fluidstack. The agreement includes two colocation contracts spanning a decade for more than 200 megawatts of IT capacity. This initial commitment is expected to generate approximately $3.7 billion in contracted revenue, with potential expansion to $8.7 billion if extension options are exercised.

Technology giant Google plays a crucial role in this arrangement, providing a $1.8 billion guarantee for Fluidstack’s leasing obligations. In exchange, Google received warrants for approximately 41 million Terawulf shares, representing about 8% of the company’s equity. In August 2025, an additional 160-megawatt option was activated, increasing the total contracted capacity to 360 megawatts and raising the potential agreement value to $16 billion. Accordingly, Google’s financial guarantee expanded to $3.2 billion.

Strategic Expansion and Future Outlook

Terawulf is rapidly advancing its high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure deployment. Initial revenue generation from HPC operations is anticipated to begin in the third quarter of 2025 with the rollout of the “WULF Den” initiative. The first phase of the Fluidstack project, comprising approximately 40 megawatts of IT capacity, is scheduled to become operational during the first half of 2026, with full deployment exceeding 200 megawatts expected by the end of that year.

This strategic repositioning establishes Terawulf as a significant participant in the expanding AI and high-performance computing hosting sector. With 500 megawatts of already approved capacity at its Lake Mariner facility and potential for an additional 750 megawatts of expansion, the company possesses substantial growth potential within the high-performance computing industry.
