Thryv Holdings Shares Plunge Amid Analyst Downgrades and Growth Concerns

Thryv Holdings is facing a severe market downturn as multiple analyst downgrades and mounting worries about its SaaS business growth trigger a massive selloff. The company’s shares are trading near their 52-week low, having lost more than 40% of their value in just the past week alone.

Financial Metrics Paint Mixed Picture

Recent financial indicators from Thryv Holdings reveal conflicting signals about the company’s health:

  • Profitability Decline: Net income dropped sharply by 47.51% to $12.42 million
  • Revenue Contraction: The five-year annual revenue growth rate stands at -10.03%
  • Leverage Concerns: A debt ratio of 1.23 points to substantial borrowing levels

Despite maintaining profitability and showing a low PEG ratio of 0.16, investors are questioning the sustainability given the elevated P/E ratio of 40.00.

Earnings Miss Intensifies Pressure

The company’s most recent quarterly report, released October 30, 2025, amplified existing concerns. Thryv posted earnings per share of $0.13, dramatically missing the $0.43 consensus estimate. While revenue of $201.56 million slightly exceeded projections, the significant profitability shortfall and decelerating growth momentum have left market participants increasingly skeptical.

Widespread Analyst Revisions

Market experts have responded to the deteriorating outlook with a wave of rating adjustments. William Blair reduced its assessment from “Outperform” to “Market Perform,” while Craig-Hallum withdrew its “Buy” recommendation in favor of a “Hold” rating, citing substantial slowing in SaaS growth. Wall Street Zen similarly downgraded its position to “Hold.”

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Thryv Holdings?

Needham maintained its “Buy” rating but implemented a severe price target reduction from $20.00 to $14.00, attributing the cut to “poor corporate governance and elevated expectations for the Keap business.”

Core Business Growth Stalls

The primary source of analyst anxiety centers on the dramatic slowdown in Thryv’s fundamental operations. Although the company reported third-quarter 2025 SaaS revenue of $115.9 million—representing 33% year-over-year growth—the organic growth rate collapsed from 25% to just 14%.

William Blair reacted to this development by slashing its 2026 SaaS growth forecast from 13% to merely 7%, noting “limited visibility into growth dynamics” during the transition to the “Thryv 2.0” customer acquisition strategy.

Precipitous Stock Decline

Thryv Holdings shares are in clear downward trajectory, reflecting substantial market skepticism. The equity plummeted 41.4% during the past week, with yesterday’s closing price settling at just $6.59. Current trading levels place the stock near its 52-week low of $7.02, indicating continued negative momentum.

The combination of analyst downgrades, disappointing earnings, and slowing core business growth raises serious questions about Thryv’s ability to reverse course, with current market action suggesting further declines may be imminent.
