Shares of Ubtech Robotics experienced a dramatic single-day rally on April 1, 2026, soaring 17.1% to reach HK$100. This powerful market reaction was fueled by the company’s 2025 financial results, which revealed explosive growth in its humanoid robotics division.

Financial Performance and Market Reaction

The company’s total revenue for the fiscal year 2025 increased by 53% to 2 billion yuan (approximately $290 million USD). A staggering transformation was seen in the humanoid robot segment. Revenue from humanoid robots and related services skyrocketed to 820 million yuan (about $119 million USD), marking an astounding 2,203% increase year-over-year. This segment has now become Ubtech’s primary revenue driver. The growth trajectory is illustrated by unit sales, which jumped from just three robots sold to 1,079 units within a single year.

Management attributed this performance to the expanding adoption of its technology in practical industrial settings, specifically naming automotive manufacturing and logistics as key areas. To support this demand, the company has expanded its annual production capacity to 6,000 units.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Ubtech Robotics?

Path to Profitability: Progress Amid Persistent Challenges

Despite the remarkable top-line expansion, Ubtech Robotics continues to operate at a loss. The company reported a net loss of 790 million yuan for 2025. However, this represents a significant improvement from the prior year’s loss of 1.2 billion yuan. When adjusted for share-based compensation expenses, the loss narrowed by 24.5% to 691 million yuan.

While the financial direction is positive, the path to reaching profitability remains considerable. The sustainability of the current rapid sales growth in the humanoid segment is seen as heavily dependent on two critical factors: the speed at which industrial clients increase their order volumes, and Ubtech’s ability to effectively scale its production capabilities in response.
