After suffering a dramatic 18% decline, Hensoldt shares are demonstrating remarkable resilience in today’s trading session. The defense contractor’s stock has surged nearly 8% in a single day, breaking its downward trajectory and pushing back into positive territory.

Technical Support Holds Firm

The trading action reveals significant technical developments for the German defense specialist. The €90 price level has emerged as a crucial support zone, providing the foundation for today’s substantial rebound. This technical barrier held firm against selling pressure, enabling the stock to mount its impressive countermove and reclaim a substantial portion of recent losses.

  • Steep Decline: 18% drop from record highs
  • Strong Rebound: Nearly 8% single-day surge
  • Technical Foundation: €90 support level proves decisive
  • Earnings Focus: November 7 quarterly results loom large

From Record Highs to Correction

Just weeks ago in early October, Hensoldt equity reached unprecedented heights, trading at €117 per share. However, the celebratory mood quickly evaporated as sector-wide profit-taking began following months of sustained defense sector gains. Compounding the pressure, emerging hopes for geopolitical de-escalation weighed heavily on the entire defense industry.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Hensoldt?

Diverging Analyst Views Ahead of Earnings

With critical quarterly figures scheduled for release on November 7, market experts display sharply contrasting assessments. Deutsche Bank Research has reinforced its positive stance, maintaining a “Buy” recommendation while elevating its price target to €112. Meanwhile, Jefferies maintains a more cautious “Hold” rating with a €92 price objective, reflecting the uncertainty surrounding near-term performance.

The coming trading sessions will prove pivotal in determining whether Hensoldt can extend its recovery or face renewed pressure ahead of the earnings announcement. Market participants await clarity on whether this represents a temporary rebound or the beginning of a sustained reversal.
