CEO Simon Gerovich emphasized the company’s expanding investor base, noting that approximately 250,000 Japanese citizens—representing 0.2% of the country’s population—now hold shares in the Bitcoin-focused enterprise. Market Reality Clashes with Corporate Strategy
The company’s fundamental position appears strong on paper. Metaplanet recently doubled its revenue forecast and successfully secured a $100 million loan backed by Bitcoin collateral. Management intends to use these funds for additional Bitcoin acquisitions and to support an extensive share buyback initiative.
