Silver Viper Minerals Corp. has outlined a definitive growth strategy for 2026, centered on a significant ramp-up in drilling activity and the imminent closing of a major acquisition. CEO Stephen Cope detailed these plans during a recent investor conference, emphasizing that the pace at which these initiatives translate into tangible project advancement will be critical.

Sector Momentum and Corporate Recognition

The company’s updates arrive during a period of heightened investor interest in precious metals. Silver Viper, with a market capitalization of approximately CAD 144 million, notes that its share performance over the past year has outpaced the Toronto Stock Exchange 300 Composite Index. This momentum was further bolstered in February when the TSX Venture Exchange recognized the company as a “Top 50 Performer” for 2026, an accolade the firm attributes to a substantial share price increase in the preceding year.

Dual-Pronged Strategy: Drilling and Acquisition

Looking forward, Silver Viper aims to sustain its recent dynamism through two primary levers: intensified exploration at its core asset and the swift completion of a strategic purchase.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Silver Viper Minerals?

1. Exploration-First Approach: “Drill, Drill, Drill”
The cornerstone of the 2026 plan is an extensive exploration campaign, internally summarized by the mantra “drill, drill, drill.” This effort is designed to expand the resource base at the company’s Mexican projects. The primary focus remains the La Virginia gold-silver project in Sonora. Past drilling at the El Rubi discovery within this project has yielded high-grade results, and Silver Viper views continued, intensive exploration as a fundamental component of its organic growth.

2. Nearing the Finish Line on Coneto Acquisition
Running parallel to the drilling offensive is an acquisition nearing finalization. In October 2025, Silver Viper announced a binding term sheet to acquire the Coneto silver-gold project in Durango. According to the latest corporate guidance, the transaction is expected to close within the next one to two weeks. This deal will also see Fresnillo plc become a significant shareholder. Post-acquisition, Silver Viper intends to apply modern exploration techniques to significantly expand the historical deposits at Coneto.

The company’s trajectory now hinges on efficiently executing these parallel strategies to convert planned activity into measurable resource growth and shareholder value.
